It would be nice if the input could be piped in.

Yo @tjconcept!

Agreed, this would be a good feature. Could use https://github.com/sindresorhus/get-stdin. Current usage should remain the same for files, and if no path is provided, check stdin.

Would you want to work on it and open a PR?
