Most functions in LyricsFinder may be activated from the keyboard using hot keys, in addition to the mouse.

The hot keys can be used in all windows when used as standalone LyricsFinder.

When used as a Media Center plug-in, though, the Media Center host program disables the use of hot keys in the LyricsFinder Main Window. In the LyricsFinder dialogs, the hot keys are enabled.

Main Window

These hot keys are only available when using the standalone LyricsFinder:

Hot key	Function
Alt + A	Open the "About" dialog window
Alt + F	Open the File menu
Alt + H	Open the Help menu
Alt + L	Edit the lyric for the selected item
Alt + O	Open the Options dialog
Alt + R	Reload the current list from Media Center
Alt + S	Automatic lyrics search for all items in the list
Alt + T	Open the Tools menu
Alt + U	Look for updates
Alt + Y	Open the Lyric services dialog
Alt + F4	Close the LyricsFinder standalone program You may be asked to save the data
Ctrl + P or Space	Start / pause playing the selected item
Enter	Start / stop playing the selected item
F1	Open the LyricsFinder User Manual Web page

Lyrics Window

These hot keys are always available when using the LyricsFinder, standalone or plugin:

Hot key	Function
Alt + E	Open the Edit menu
Alt + H	Open the Help menu
Alt + S	Search for lyrics
Alt + T	Open the Tools menu
Ctrl + A	Mark/select all text
Ctrl + C	Copy the selected text to the clipboard
Ctrl + P	Start / pause playing the selected item
Ctrl + V	Paste the clipboard at the current cursor position or replacing any selected text
Ctrl + X	Cut the selected text to the clipboard
Ctrl + Y	Redo
Ctrl + Z	Undo
Delete	Delete the marked text
Esc	Close the dialog window You may be asked whether to replace the current lyric with the found lyric
F7	Toggle the lyric spell check on or off
Left / Right arrow	In text box: left / right In search window when track bar has focus: move between found lyrics results

Lyric Service Window

These hot keys are always available when using the LyricsFinder, standalone or plugin:

Hot key	Function
End	Move the selection to the last service
Esc	Close the dialog window You may be asked to save the data
Home	Move the selection to the first service
Tab / Shift Tab	Move to the next / previous edit text box
Up / Down arrow	Move selection to the previous / next service

Options Window

These hot keys are always available when using the LyricsFinder, standalone or plugin:

Hot key	Function
Esc	Close the dialog window You may be asked to save the options data
Tab / Shift Tab	Move to the next / previous edit text box
