This package is used by 20+ providers in the terraform-providers organization, should it be moved to its own repository if its not valid for the SDK?

I do find this to be an appropriate helper for the SDK to offer so developers keep the UA's consistent, but an a package called httpclient with only this function does seem out of place for the SDK.

Given that users can depend/vendor V1 for these helpers, I am happy to see these breaking changes for V2. I would suggest in our official upgrade guide that we recommend internalizing these dependencies, or looking for well vetted alternatives, however as shown, continuing to import V1 is fine.

Maybe let @kmoe chime in around the user agent specifically, I think we can introduce something better in V2 as a substitute. |

@paultyng for record keeping can you rename the PR to something more like And fill in the description with something about how we don't want the SDK to be responsible for things like encryption/synchro/etc. |
