Problem/Motivation

When trying to edit the name of one of my Flow tabs in NR4 in my Home Assistant installation, a properties section is missing:
image

Whereas in a local installation of NR4 this is the same is in the previous version (3.10).

Expected behavior

The properties of the Flow Edit should be visible, which allows the name change.

Steps to reproduce

In the latest version of the add-on NodeRED for HA, version 4, double click on a Flow (tab) name.
The properties of the Flow do not display.

Proposed changes

Well.. make it work again. :)

Hmmm.. strange.. just updated to 18.0.2, but still same issue.

From log:

 Add-on version: 18.0.2
You are running the latest version of this add-on.
 System: Home Assistant OS 12.4 (amd64 / qemux86-64)
 Home Assistant Core: 2024.6.4
 Home Assistant Supervisor: 2024.06.2

Properties section seems to have been replaced by Environment Variables section. This for old and new Flow tabs.
Node config panes are not affected (as far as I can see now..).

Anyone else having the same problem? Or know how to fix this easily?

I've determined the problem to be the Cobalt theme. When switching to this theme (and perhaps others) in the AddOn configuration, the problem above rears its head.
The problem disappears when switching (back) to the default theme (or any other that works).

Any others that are experiencing this problem with the Cobalt (and\or other) themes in NodeRED?

WOW caused by a theme !!

  • I would not have put money on that! LOL

No, neither would I.
In trying to resolve the issue I made a backup of all NR Flows, deleted everything from within HA and reinstalled everything. And the properties were always there.
Only after changing the theme did I notice they were gone. And switching themes back and forth confirmed the issue.

Closing the issue as the problem has been fixed with an update of the NR theme-collection.
