The extension helps to promote independent YouTube channels telling the truth about the war in Ukraine, in Russian segment. It opens a list of YT channels in multiple tabs and plays/likes videos.
It is needed to fight the propaganda spread by the Russian government, as they are paying to boost propaganda materials on YouTube. Run the extension on your computer - help to reach Russian people on YouTube!
Independent channels are DW, Michael Nacki, Popular Politics, Radio Freedom, Ekaterina Shulman, Vladimir Milov, Navalny Live, Michael Khodorkovsky, Yulia Latynina, Ilya Yashin.
The extension is available in Chrome Store - see "Support free media on YouTube".
You can also install the extension locally:
- Download extension folder from GitHub - use this link.
- Unzip the archive in any location on your machine.
- Open Extentions manager in Chrome browser - copy this link to your browser chrome://extensions/ (Edge browser: edge://extensions/ )
- Enable developer mode in the top right corner - see the screenshot.
- Click "Load unpacked" button in the top left corner to upload extension, select the extension folder.
- Extension is ready to use. To bookmark the extension, click "Extensions" button in the top right corner in the browser, the "Pin" icon next to extension name.
- It is recommended to use YouTube AdBlock extension to skip ads.

Click the extension button, then select number of tab that works for you.
If "Open Playlist" is selected, it will start playing Independent Russian Media playlist.
Otherwise it will open channels listed above and play latest uploads.
Supported browsers are Chrome, Edge, Opera. You may need to update the browser if your current version doesn't support chrome Manifest V3.
