Instead of just supporting a single hardcoded rule for 'froms', it would be more powerful if a StateMachine could be configured to support a stack of 'Rules'. Thus, the simplest state machine would have a FromRule class, and a Hierarchical State Machine would have a HierarchicalFromRule class.
