Only 3 templates in config.ini possible?

I´m quite happy with using your opendtu sw and it works fine with my victron gear.
Thnxalot for all your amazing work!

My question now:
is ist possible, to use more than 3 Templates with your sw?
Actually, it works fine with 3 Templates, all configured as "Tasmota"-Templates.
But it is not possible to add a 4th template to this working condition.

Is there a counter or index anywhere, which stops the increasing in templates?
Just to add a 4th one to the config.ini and set der template Number to 4 did not work.

(I`m using sonoff tasmota powermeter and need still a forth one as an acload-input for my victron gear)

hi happy to hear this.

There is actually no hard stop for number of templates, I just created 3 different ones as an example. You can use more, what we have not tested how many more is the limit and how it would perform.

So 4 should be fine, just add a [TEMPLATE3] or even a [TEMPLATE4] and change the number of templates in config.ini to 4 or 5 for example.

It will not work with more than 3 templates at the moment.

I use your sw on a Raspi3B with venos-OS large 2.94, node red is in use and setuphelper from kwindrem is installed.
Although Serial Battery from LouisvanderWalt is in use.

Your sw work fine with 3 templates, all as "Tasmota"templates in your original form (except CUST_POLLING = 999)
But if I add in the config.ini a 4th template [TEMPLATE3] and set the NumberOfTemplates=4, all templates disappear from my VenusOS.

In dbus-spy I can watch a stable situation with 3 templates, but with 4 templates, they disappear.
The first 3 appear for 1 to 2 seconds, then disappear for 4 to 5 seconds and appear again short - all in a loop.

When I let the 4th template written in the config.ini but set the counter back to NumberOfTemplates=3, all works fine after restart.sh (with the first 3 templates)

I really appreciate your nice software and it helps me a lot, to monitor my system. Thank You very much again for this fine work!

Please open an issue and provide the debug logs as described in the troubleshooting section and I can review the problem
