Running vagrant-ubuntu-trusty-64, node 5.8.0, npm 3.8.0

On npm start I get the following error:
Failed at the heroku-event-signup@1.0.0 start script 'webpack-dev-server'

When I install webpack-dev-server, I get additional warnings and, with some googling, it seems fsevents is OSX specific and therefore fails on Ubuntu, Windows, etc.

npm WARN optional Skipping failed optional dependency /chokidar/fsevents: npm WARN notsup Not compatible with your operating system or architecture: fsevents@1.0.8 npm WARN envify-loader@0.1.0 requires a peer of envify@^1.2.1 but none was installed.
