Why not design a Powershell script and use Windows Task Scheduler to run the script?
Or better yet publish the http post variables and let people build their own scripts for reporting data. I think I have a mostly working Powershell script, but I had to reverse the PHP script to get it working.

Totally agree. I love the option to monitor service, but it's still in alpha and I don't see progress.
For Windows i.m.h.o. the most logically option is a Powershell script ran by the task manager, or if you want to have an interface with a .NET Service.
Powershell should be faster to develop and has less overhead.
