Feature request: Compile src/main/python to .class bytecode #3

The Groovy and Scala Gradle plugins compile src/main/groovy/... and src/main/scala/... to *.class bytecode files, for use with larger projects, creating portable vanilla JVM JARs, etc.

Could jython-gradle-plugin do this as well?

Hi Andrew,

Bundling src/main/python into the resulting jar is actually a good idea. Or do you also want to (pre-)compile it? That might actually be possible indeed. I'll see whether I can add some support for it!
