Approving this so people with the watch can open the settings, but to repeat myself we should move away from this approach and use the intended function for detecting Wear devices. I'll see if I can make that happen soon.

I just got my Pixel Watch. It seems I can't log into Home Assistant on my watch.
After I login on Android app, companion app on Watch still require me to log in to instance.

Hey please don't comment on merged PRs that is what issues are for. I have a pixel watch and I am able to sign in but I only first attempted to login from the watch. I did not start the process on the phone. Try rebooting the watch to see if it works if not please log a bug with the issue template completed.
