Matter integration broke leviton plug in dimmer D23LP

The problem

The most recent Matter integration prior to 5/7/2024 has broken the leviton plug in dimmer D23LP.
The original "light.{name}" entity is now unavailable.
A new entity "switch.{name}" has been added in its place.
This new entity, being a switch, does not allow for dimming.
