The problem

I am unable to control any of my Leviton D26HD or D215S light switches. Matter is not throwing an error, but all of the toggle switches are greyed out.

I had the same problem since I upgraded yesterday. I just restored my latest backup from before upgrading home assistant core to 2024.5.3 and now my matter devices are recognized again

I have a similar issue (bug report #117042) where the latest version changed my leviton D23LP plug in dimmer from a light to a switch, disabling and adding entities. Fortunately my D26HD dimmers did not disable the light entity.

I have a leviton D23LP plug and can't seem to pair it either. It successfuly paired for 5s showing up as a switch (#117042 ), then stopped working. Attempting to repair it has failed.

Please attach (not paste!) the diagnostics dump of your device(s) with issues and describe to me exactly what kind of device it is and what it should be. We discover light entities only if the right combination of attributes and device types match.

We fixed one issue with one of the Leviton devices at one day, to break another case the next day.

I am seeing the same behavior for TP-Link Tapo P135 dimmer plugs. After update, the light entities show up as unavailable, but there are now switch entities that will turn the lights on and off, but do not allow dimming.

I'm not sure my diagnostics made it during my remote attempt. Here is it again hopefully.....
This is a dimmer plug. The light. entity has disappeared and replaced by a switch. entity.
