Home Assistant release with the issue:
0.98.5

UI (States or Lovelace UI?):
Lovelace

Description of problem:
The up/down buttons for moving entities in the GUI editors are great, but it can be very easy to lose your place as the entities move around - especially when entities are named similarly like in the example screenshot below.

So I think it would be extremely helpful if the entity you just interacted with (by pressing the up/down arrows) was "highlighted" in a different color for a very brief moment (2-3 seconds or so and then the color would fade out).

This would allow you to more easily follow where it's moving, and it would make it easier to move an entity several positions up or down in quick succession, because you no longer have to read the entity name or surrounding entities and could just look for the highlighted item.

Hope I explained this in a way that makes sense... Here is a rough mockup.
