What happens?

What should happen?

What hardware and operating system are you running PPSSPP on? GPU might matter if it's a graphical issue.

If you look on the iso, does it have a PIC1.PNG and PIC0.PNG inside the PSP_GAME folder? If so, could you attach them here?

I think PIC1 is normally used as the background, with PIC0 in the aligned to bottom right, in the PSP XMB UI.

Yes you're right. PIC.1 is used as a background on PSP but maybe not every game have PIC.0 :D. I fpund this problem have too flatout head on

maybe PIC.0 does not cover PIC.1, so PIC.1 covers PIC.0. maybe a bug in PPSSPP

Hm. PIC1 is also used during game loading, which is why we prefer it. We don't draw PIC0 on top currently, because it's often text or an ugly box that doesn't make for a good UI background behind touchable buttons and things.

Thinking about touch wasn't something the designers of the PSP UI were very worried about.

I'll note that the Vita doesn't even show either image, AFAIK.

There's really no need to follow exactly what PSP displays especially with not displaying videos anyway and not even trying to simulate the tragic XMB.
If the background is missing completely we could do what we do with missing PIC0/icons for homebrew for a while, that is check and if it doesn't exist also check for user made screenshot for it, we use first screenshot for icon, so the second could be used for background. There could also be an per-game option to override existing PIC0/1 with screenshots always to deal with examples like here where it's not missing just white/boring.

I have idea. What to will do settings for PIC.0? if we want draw him, why not set ON in the settings and using that when game is loading? And how LunaMoo said: White/boring. It is little bit work but great" and for everybody wiewable. And i think DTM2 realy need it.

Can i close it or let it?

Maybe we could do like a 15% opacity version of PIC0 in the place it's normally drawn for cases like this, to avoid the touch UI / readability issues showing PIC0 would otherwise cause. But not sure how that would look.

That said, I don't think I've seen this reported for games other than DTM - maybe it's fine to keep it as-is.
