Taiko no Tatsujin Portable 1 & 2 choppy frame rate for opening FMV and title screen #14175

During FMV opening and title screen for Taiko no Tatsujin Portable 1 & 2 the frame rate starts choppy frame rate unless using minimizing PPSSPP and resume the frame rate backs to normal.

I see it shows 0/0 even though the screen is updating. I suspect the framebuffer is not dirty, so it's not flipping.

Maybe it's copying the video to the framebuffer in a way we don't detect. Or maybe it's decoding directly to VRAM, which it doesn't seem like we detect.

A debug log would help.

Taiko no Tatsujin Portable DX had good frame rate for me in title screen without minimizing.

Does that mean this is fixed? Or that DX behaves differently than 1 & 2?

The DX doesn't have opening FMV and the title screen is running good frame rate, I only test 1 and 2.
