This is a Next.js + TailwindCSS + MongoDB + Mongoose + NextAuth + useSWR boilerplate code

This project was bootstrapped with create-next-app.

Getting Started

First clone then install dependencies then run the development server:

npm run dev
# or
yarn dev

Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.

You can start editing the page by modifying pages/index.js. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.

API routes can be accessed on http://localhost:3000/api/hello. This endpoint can be edited in pages/api/hello.js.

The pages/api directory is mapped to /api/*. Files in this directory are treated as API routes instead of React pages.

add a .env.local file at the root folder and add the folollowing contents

MONGODB_URI=

NEXTAUTH_URL
NEXTAUTH_SECRET=

GOOGLE_CLIENT_ID= 
GOOGLE_CLIENT_SECRET= 
JWT_SECRET=
  1. Get the google client id and secret from the google console

  2. auto generate a NEXTAUTH_SECRET by running the command below on the terminal

openssl rand -base64 32
