Hello,
How could I please use "SUGSWITHDOTS" as normal user, without modifying /usr/share/hunspell/de_DE.aff ?
I need it, because without that option, suggestions for misspelled words at the end of a sentence remove the dot.
Example: "Hier ist ein Rechtschreibfeler." becomes "Hier ist ein Rechtschreibfehler"
TIA for any hints, Peter

Firefox and Libre office works as expected. They preserve the punctuation marks. Which editor are you using?
Sorry, something went wrong.
Hi Shantanu,
Emacs.
Here a little test:
Command: echo Hier ist ein Rechtschreibfeler. | hunspell -a -d de_DE -i UTF-8
echo Hier ist ein Rechtschreibfeler. | hunspell -a -d de_DE -i UTF-8
Output without SUGSWITHDOTS:
@(#) International Ispell Version 3.2.06 (but really Hunspell 1.7.2) * * * & Rechtschreibfeler. 3 13: Rechtschreibfehler, Rechtschreibfelder, Rechtschreibelfer
Output with SUGSWITHDOTS:
@(#) International Ispell Version 3.2.06 (but really Hunspell 1.7.2) * * * & Rechtschreibfeler. 3 13: Rechtschreibfehler., Rechtschreibfelder., Rechtschreibelfer.
