This code is utterly untested, but will get you pointed in the right direction.

device = tbapi.get_device_by_name("device_name")

latest_temp = tbapi.get_latest_telemetry(device, "temperature")

STEP 1: build and install TbApi

[1.] cd thingsboard_api_tools

[2.] python setup.py build //will build the package underneath 'build/'

[3.] python setup.py install // will install the package

STEP 2: create sample app -> sample.py

[1.] cd ..

[2.] nano sample.py
