This appears to be an issue with every sub menu. I have tried multiple themes and styles and they all prevent me from adding a service :<

Not sure what you mean by "themes and styles", styles are purely cosmetic and don't change how the program actually works so don't matter here.

Hydrus got an update some days ago so we're now on 458, might be worth to see if it's fixed by now becayse yah, sometimes that happens.

As for if the issue persists: Do the buttons just not react or do you get a short freeze or something else that makes it seem like Hydrus is trying to do something but nothing ends up happening?

Thanks for your reply! I updated it yesterday and experienced the same issue. I tried different UI styles because I thought maybe it would affect clicking some elements in the GUI because I was trying everything. I even tried on my work MacBook and I get the same issue with an empty database. I made a video showing what I mean so I hope this can help. I can send any logs that are needed.

@KamillaPup Thank you for this report and the video example. This seems to be the same as #858 , which I was going to put time into and then it fell through the cracks. I will try to work on this this week and will let you know how it goes.

Although it is not convenient, it looks like arrow keys and enter do work on the menu--it is just some weird Big Sur mouse bug with dialogs and menus.

Let me know if you need me to test code before you push it! I have three Big Sur Macs to test on.

Hey, I wrote a dialog version of a menu that will now show in macOS if you open a menu inside a dialog. If you like, you can turn it off with a new checkbox under options->gui, but it should let you use menus again with your mouse. Thank you for your patience, and please let me know if you have any trouble with it.

I actually don't like the new menu as it's more a dialog box and not a menu. It requires much more clicks to open the tree then two more clicks to select the item. Is this really the only possible solution?
