OPDS failed with caliber-web #80
Comments
I meant to add: I can give you an account on calibre-web for testing, and/or I'd be happy to try a debug build via Testflight or whatever you use. |
This is probably what I'll do — Hyphen 2 is in development and should have this issue taken care of, so when the beta's ready I can shoot you an invite. Sound good? |
Sounds good to me, thanks! What’s the timeline? Weeks? Months? |
It's probably a bad idea for me to give out a deadline, but my hope is 1.5-2 months. |
Cool. “Months” it is. Could be 2, could be 12. |
Definitely not 12 :) |
Any updates? |
Things are in the works :) It's been hectic on my end, but I promise I'll have more updates soon. |
How’s it going? |
Hi Christoph! Thanks for checking in. Things are going well, actually. I'm hoping to have a beta ready for testing early next year. :) |
Nice, let me know! |
Just some motivation: I tried KyBook 3 and somewhat liked it after Marvin stopped displaying tables of contents. I discovered from its GH repo that it’s also abandoned and reads my clipboard without permission. No good. I just need a reader for EPUBs, with the ability to search and download from an OPDS catalog. I’m about to write my own, but I’ll wait for Hyphen 2 first. :) |
I also just bought Hyphen, for support. 👍 |
Thank you for the support! :) Looking forward to getting Hyphen 2 into your hands 😉 |
Just encountered this issue today; opds works fine in Firefox (credentials are correct) but not in Hyphen. Fixed by disabling auth on my Calibre Content server, not ideal, but OK for now. |
@solarfl4re Thanks for sharing that info. Hopefully you won't have to deal with this too much longer! |
I'd like to see this resolved sooner rather than later. I bought the app because I loved the integration with Calibre-Reader content server, but the using Calibre-Web as a frontend server for the library is fantastic. I'm self hosting linuxserver/calibre-web on my LAN using only http When I use Hyphen to add books via OPDS method, I get Thank you. |
HTTPS Connection, good cert, authenticated. Don’t see anything in the logs, but they may not be debug level. This works on Marvin and in a browser.
Accessing my catalog through OPDS is, I think, the only thing keeping me from buying the app.
Thanks!
