joe_voice_assistant.py😎

Joe is a personal voice assistant made using python programming language.

Getting Started🧐

Joe needs python3 installed on your computer and any code editor. Before running the python script make sure to execute commands.run file in your cmd or linus terminal if you don't know how you can do it just follow the installation tutorial with images.

installation😶😶

Step 1

Clone or download the repository on your system.

Linux Users can clone it using a command listed below:

git clone https://github.com/theuitown/joe_voice_assistant.py.git

Windows Users have to download trhe zip and extract it anywhere you weant it to.

Step 2

Linux Users

Linux users have to open terminal and navigate inside the downloaded folder and then have to typoe these following commands in order to install all of the required packages.

chmod +x commands.run

sudo ./commands.run

Windows Users

You have to open your command prompt and run the following commands one by one:

pip install SpeechRecognition
pip install PyAudio
pip install PySpeech
pip install wikipedia
pip install wolframalpha
pip install pyttsx
pip install gtts

Step 4

Now you can run the scipt on your any text editor or linux terminal

Linux Users:Open terminal and navigateto ythe folder and then type the following command

python3 joe.py

Windows users can use any text editor or official python compiler but i recommend VS CODE(Virtual Studio Code).
