Hidden window not unhiding

I am using Debian version of IceWM 3.4.1-1

I have observed that hidden windows do not appear always when I clock on the icon of windows, to raise the hidden window. I am keeping Firefox as hidden window, and sometimes XTerm.

When I click Window List, then I can always get to hidden window. When I click directly to the hidden window in the list of hidden windows from the icon of windows, I just get focus on whatever window is there.

Do you understand the difference between hidden and minimized and unviewable? Make a screenshot. What do you mean by "get to hidden window"? What is a list of hidden windows? What is an icon of windows?

After 2 decades of using IceWm, surely I know what is hidden window. Thought I do not know what is unviewable window and how to make such.

List of hidden windows is shown when user click the icon with description Window List Menu, it is separated by line from other windows. Window is hidden with Alt+Shift+F12

I can see that when I open XTerm, and hide it, I cannot access it any more from Window List Menu by clicking on XTerm entry in the list of hidden windows.

But I also observe that when I change workspace and try to access hidden window then I can access it, and if I press option within Window List Menu, named Window List, then from that list I can again access hidden window, which means to show it or raise it in front of other windows.

Sometimes I can access hidden window from Window List Menu, but most of time it fails if I click on it directly.

Good! Now I understand it much better. Sofar I cannot reproduce it. I may need to create a Debian VM like you have to increase my chances of reproducing it. Tell me what to install. Debian version?

Is it correct that this only happens with Firefox and XTerm? All other applications work fine.

And it only happens when you are on the same workspace?

Can you Alt+Tab to the hidden windows which are inaccessible in the Menu? (Assuming QuickSwitchToHidden=1.)

It seems it is happening in 1st Workspace. No matter which window I hide, I cannot unhide it from that workspace. But from other workspace I can.

When I did QuickSwitchToHidden, I can access windows. But after that, I could hide window, and unhide it by clicking on the window name in Window List, it seems it started to work again. But I am sure later will not work again, probably after IceWM restart.

The menu action handler was overwritten elsewhere.
