What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open MS Office Word 2013.
2. Write and check they way fonts are rendered.
3. Now go to font settings, check the preview of fonts.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
When you check with mouse the blurried, miss-rendered text and go to font
settings, you are going to see at preview section font is looking as it should
be while the in-document looking of the same font is ugly.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
MacType is latest. Office 2013 on Win 7. (All updates are done)

Please provide any additional information below.
I didn't checked it with other Office versions so I do not know if this is a
general issue or dedicated to 2013 version.

I encounter a similar problem too. In my case, I use Word 2013 in Win 7 and
latest version of MacType. In the DESIGN tab, when you expand Font to preview
the font presets, the items are rendered incorrectly, i.e. the edges of the
text are green and noisy.

I also have the same problem, don't know what to do with this. Fortunately, the
paragraphs in the word are not influenced.
