When app is set to Chinese (simplified) the app displays common names in Chinese (traditional)

From https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/cant-see-chinese-common-names-on-android/17573 Version 3.0.6, I can replicate.

1. In your device's Settings app, set iNaturalist's langauge to Chinese (simplified). Make sure your phone's region is USA.
2. Open up iNat and wait for the common names to change.
3. Buttons appear in Chinese (simplified) but common names are in Chinese (traditional).

eg Anas platyrhynchos:

As far as I can tell, if I switch the app to Chinese (traditional), common names show Chinese (traditional), and the buttons are in Chinese (traditional) as well.

If you change your phone's region to China mainland and the app is using Chinese (simplified) it will show Chinese (simplified) names.
