I noticed that there is hardReset function in the base cpp file. Where you set the pin high and low how is this schematic supposed to look like on the esp chip.

I am a little confused on the question, But All that i know is that there are two resets one with command "AT+RST" which you should see the same reaction as the the reset pin which you set high then low to reset the ESP module, as you can see in the schematic that the Reset pin is directly connected to the ESP, and I bet the AT command goes through the first IC and resets the ESP. Only difference i would see if the ESP was in a hold up as in trying to process one command already, the "Software reset" wouldn't work. unlike the directly connected reset pin
