Tenant ID Parameter? #21
Comments
the tenant id parameter is a mandatory parameter because our infoblox go-client is built to work on cloud environments. The workaround is to give any string of your choice. |
@saiprasannasastry can this provider be used with infoblox installed on-prem then?
So do I need some extra license for my infoblox instance just to run this provider? UPDATE You have the license if you can see "Cloud" tab in infoblox UI: |
@mbirecki-eis I ended up going with https://github.com/prudhvitella/terraform-provider-infoblox and it's been working great for me. The cloud license requirement is kind of dumb. |
Hi , from the requirments, the cloud licence has been made mandatory, as for tenant id what it does, Under the cloud tab of infoblox, you can group the deployed VM's under one tenant and see it as a tenant view |
the cloud license has been removed, closing this issue. |
I was looking at the examples section and was wondering what the "tenant_id" parameter should be for an on-prem infoblox instance? I checked in our settings, googling around, and am still stumped as to what to enter.
Thanks!
Edit: Same question applies to the "network_name" parameter. I read https://docs.infoblox.com/display/N83EA2/Configuring+Network+Views and that pointed me to finding our network_view_name was "default" but am spinning looking for what the other values may be.
