.localfilename does not work (documentation bug)

The pod for Inline says

if the external source file is in the current directory it must be
specified with a leading '.' - ie '.file.ext' instead of simply 'file.ext'.

That does not work, and good thing, too! This looks like a documentation error.

Probably the pod should be changed to something like

"(An external filename must contain a directory separator to be recognized; so if the file is in the current directory, use a leading "./" or equivalent for your platform.)"
