The compare versions feature on the Desired state page is very unintuitive. The first time I used it, I was expecting that something would happen when I clicked on the three dots in the menu above the table, but that wasn't the case. Instead you have to click on the three dot at the end of a certain record in the table and use Select for compare.

Proposal: Remove the Compare versions... entry from the menu above the table until the Select from compare button is clicked. Add the compare button after recompile so that the existing elements do not move around.

…en updated. (Issue #4391, PR #5067)

# Description

Updated the behavior of the select for compare functionality to be more intuitive. The selection chip will only be visible when you selected an item in the table.
