This issue has been migrated from old Barrier Github repository debauchee/barrier#325

Issue created on: 2019-05-28 by @mhidro
Issue last updated on: 2020-08-28

Operating Systems

Server: Windows 7 Service Pack 1

Client: Windows 7 Service Pack 1

Barrier Version

2.2.0-Release-18ac0fe4

Steps to reproduce bug

Start server with desktop drag drop file option enabled. Gives error:

ERROR: failed to get desktop path, no drop target available, error=2

My "desktop" doesn't reside in "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop"

Running
REG query "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders" /v Desktop
seems to return successfully the actual Desktop location. Which is _My_other_drive_here_\home\_username_\Desktop
