Yeap, there are some really cool new features that we're definitely going to be adopting. The copy/paste integration situation will be resolved with the VirtualBuddyGuest app that's going to be included with the app (and very easy to install/update) in a future release (#144) |

Are there plans to allow settings a serial number and hw model? This is crucial for testing ADE. :) |

I haven't seen Apple say, but I doubt they'd allow setting a serial number, though they could provide some alternate, specific service for ADE testing. With how a serial number is tied into Apple ID, Find My Mac, etc., it's the keys to the kingdom. Allowing it to be set is a huge potential risk. Imagine a setting it to match a stolen Mac's serial number, then "hey, I found it" as if the original owner had. Or a ransomware writer using this to create a Mac, then fail to log in X times and trigger a lockout... I doubt enterprise techs wanting to test ADE outweigh bad actors and the cost of safely doing it. |
