Are there any tools to pack/unpack the $LIST format in Julia?
At least when I was at InterSystems, that was used fairly extensively to compactly store data in globals,
by the object system as well as CacheSQL.
(disclaimer: I'm curious also because I was the person who invented the $LIST format! :-) )

Julia does not have $list support so far but Community Python Gateway does - globals with $lb structures can be transferred into Python lists and dataframes.
