Can Intrigue-core be installed on Kali Linux? #174
Comments
Intrigue-core doesn't install with python. Have you trying installing Docker on your Kali device & running the one-liner for the docker image? |
@walldoggydogg911 Great question and thanks for reaching out. In the past we had a set of instructions for installing on Kali, but have since standardized on Ubuntu and removed those instructions. As @JoeUser47 indicated, one easy path would be running the docker image on top of a Kali box, but - there are some limitation to this approach. Namely, slower performance and you'd need to map volumes for stuff like wordlists. Given that Kali's based on Debian, the installation script that works for ubuntu should be very very similar for Kali. If you're willing to work through the installation process and potential package name issues, this script should 'just work' to get you postgres, redis and the core codebase on top of Kali directly:https://github.com/intrigueio/intrigue-core/blob/develop/util/bootstrap-standalone.sh. Jump in our slack channel (invite link here: https://core.intrigue.io/2020/06/21/opening-up-the-community/) if you'd like to give this a try. Regardless, we will add a ticket to document the process on top of Kali and link it in the Getting started instructions on the project site. |
Nevermind. I found out i needed to make it https://127.0.00.1:7777. Left out the "s" Sorry guys. I'm still a NooB. |
Don't be sorry, join the slack anyway, great group to learn with together. |
I can't seem to find any indication that Intrigue-core can be installed in Kali via python. Is this not possible?
I see installs on Docker, EC2, Digital Ocean etc, but not for Kali.
Any help would be great. Thanks.
