Type: feature
Area: commands
Priority: P0

Description:

It would be nice to have a stats command that gives a breakdown of bandwidth usage.

  • MiB of blocks sent, blocks received
  • MiB of dup blocks received
  • MiB of canceled blocks sent (blocks the peers didn't want).
  • MiB other.

This way we can get a sense of bandwidth overhead. That is, real blocks sent/received versus duplicates, metadata, and wantlists.
