Can one copy/paste an entire section?

My notebooks are easily growing too large. I want to split part of it to another notebook. Currently I can only cut/paste per cell using the chrome_clipboard extension. Is multiple cell or section operation supported?

No, it is not currently possible,
But notebook are pure json file, it is relatively easy to split them programatically.
You can also duplicate and erase the half you do not want.

As @Carreau says, the difficulty is not the copy/paste itself. A user interface to select multiple cells is required for this. It has been asked for and discussed in ipython/ipython#977.
