As I researcher, I continuously execute some set of cells again and again as I define my work flow and try new things. After my notebook gets some length it is very painful to scroll again and again. I suggest short-cut executions for such important cells in the notebook. Maybe we can define a custom short-cut key than execute by this short-cuts instead of scrolling.

You can define custom shortcuts with snippets of JS, either in a custom.js file in your profile, or inside notebooks themselves. It shouldn't be hard to execute a specific range of cells. Someone more familiar with that API can show you what the code would look like.
