Do you know anything about how IronPython interacts with readline on Mono/Linux? Will the same thing work?

I have no mono experience, but very likely no. Hooks in IronPython are very pyreadline specific. I can imaging under mono native readline can be accessed almost directly.

Anyway, I don't think there is any user of ipython in mono, so I am not breaking anything. Changes in IronPython required to make ipython start REPL are quite substantial and they did not make to the latest 2.7.3 release.

If you know anybody interested in booting ipython under mono, let me know. I will be happy to assist.
I also think that it would make sense to update your wiki about ironpython support.
Any suggestion how should I go about it?

If it help some user with IronPython, I'm ok with merging this.

About the wiki, feel free to modifie it if the information are erroneous or out of date.

I don't think any of us use IronPython or use a windows box, so we are not the best to update the wiki about that.
