For any generator that can handle multiple configurations (MSVC, ninja with `-GNinja Multi-Config`, etc) the `$<CONFIG>` generator expression must be included in the file name. Docs: https://cmake.org/cmake/help/latest/generator/Ninja%20Multi-Config.html#custom-commands
