Show Bookmarks on new tab

I would like to to have my bookmarks on the new tab page, can I somehow activate this? not the sponsored stuff by google, just some pre-selected bookmarks (or all of them) in some format.

Switched to Iridium from SRWare Iron due to the slow update cycle breaking webpages often.
Would like to see this re-implemented as an option.
Either "most visited websites in the past month" or some other way of showing bookmarks, for quick and easy access.
Old newtab page also featured the image background of whatever your installed theme was.
