The link to a $PATH must be the same listed in the remove script, in our example, at STEP 2 we have our link in /usr/local/bin, so:
ln -s /opt/$APP/$APP /usr/local/bin/$APP
You can detect your $PATH on the system by running the command echo $PATH, on my system they are /usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/local/games:/usr/games, all are separated each other by a :
