The dicom parser checks the values of VR and bitsAllocated. This check must be done according to part05/sect_A.2. The warning about OW VR is not needed and can be removed.
The condition to treat pixel data includes the OF VR case which is not necessary since the pixel data can only be OB or OW, it can be removed.
