Easy GOPATH switching

A little script to help you manage your various Golang Projects by keeping them portable with individual GoPaths.

What it does

By placing the goswitch script in the root folder of your Golang project (your intended GOPATH and not the src sub-projects), and running it with “source goswitch.sh” or “. goswitch.sh”, GoSwitch does 2 things:

• Sets this project’s directory as your active gopath
• Adds this project’s bin folder to your system path, so you can run your project executables easily e.g. ‘beego new’ as opposed to ‘../bin/beego new’. Especially useful when using godep i.e. ‘godep save’.

How to Use

• Place this script in the root directory of all your various GoPaths/projects (not your sub-projects in 'src', but your actual gopath root directory).
• Run it with "source goswitch.sh" or ". goswitch.sh" to activate this folder as your new gopath.

The script will also add the bin folder of your project into your system path variable so you can run all your bins as you would any command line command e.g. Just use 'beego new' as opposed to '.../bin/beego new' etc. The script will do it's best to avoid creating duplicate folder paths in your PATH variable.

GoSwitch is NOT...

• A vendoring tool. But you can use GoSwitch on top of any vendoring tool you want. It simply allows you to easily develop on multiple golang projects on the same machine.
