makes quoted status cards optional

is it possible to have the "quoted status cards" introduced in v3.1.1 to be optional?
imo it makes the feed to bulky.

Question: does this request only apply to feeds (and group feeds, which is the same type of request), or also to subscription timeline (where the quoted status cards were already shown)?

in my case, only the feed.

Version 3.1.6 has the enhancement.
This in an option that can be activated in the general settings.
The option name is Leaner feeds, at the bottom of the general settings:

unfortunately i can not confirm the feature as i see no visible difference.

but that may be totally my fault as i thought that it was related to the enormous link previews.

v3.1.0 did not show the link previews embedded with every tweet if it contained a link.

so v3.1.0 was a mostly clean feed with text only.

all later version one tweet fills more than a half screen because of link-previews.

sorry for any inconvience i created. i hope you did not suffer to much from my incompentence.
