I have taken a quick look through this repo, and glad to see some standards around this emerging. I have been recently working on metadata at curvenote.com, our docs regarding the frontmatter for this community are here:
https://curvenote.com/docs/web/frontmatter
There might be other integrations with the ExecutableBooks community, which supports JupyterBook and MyST markdown.

I would love some pointers on how best to support these efforts from those communities/tools! Thanks!
