Rebuilded apk won't install!!

What seems to be the problem?
The application doesn't install after rebuild.

What is the exact smali/baksmali command that you ran?
java -jar smali.jar <source-folder> -o classes.dex

What version of smali/baksmali are you using? What rom are you working
from?
smali v1.2.5 on SGS (Android Eclair 2.1)

Please provide any additional information below: error messages, symptoms,
etc.
When I try to install the re-assembled apk, the installation screen comes up 
but it gives "Application Not Installed" error in the end.

I need more details please. How did you try to install it, what "installation 
screen" are you talking about, and where did you see the "Application Not 
Installed" error message. Also, please paste the logcat from when you tried to 
install it.

Hi,

I installed the app from my device i.e. rebuilded the apk, transfered to my 
device and installed it. Please find the installation images below to get more 
idea on it.

I suspect that you just need to resign the apk
