Override Homepage - Chrome Extension

Your browser is managed by your organisation

The "Override Homepage" Chrome extension is a simple tool that helps you take control of your browser's startup pages. Really, you don't need it unless you work in a company that opens up intranet pages you don't want to see.

Features

  • Set a custom homepage for your browser

Installation

To install the "Override Homepage" Chrome extension, follow these steps:

  • Download the latest release from the GitHub repository.
  • Extract the contents of the ZIP file to a folder on your computer.
  • Open the Chrome browser and navigate to the Extensions page (chrome://extensions).
  • Enable Developer mode by clicking the toggle switch in the top right corner.
  • Click the "Load unpacked" button and select the folder where you extracted the ZIP file.
  • The "Override Homepage" Chrome extension should now be installed and ready to use.

Usage

After installation, you are asked which website you want to set as your homepage.

In case you want to change it later on check the options of the installed extension.

Contributing

I welcome all contributions, including bug fixes, new features, and documentation improvements.
