Hello folks! Unicode 16.0 is currently being worked on by Unicode's Emoji Subcommittee (current draft proposal). It is expected to be released in the second half of 2024. When Unicode 16.0 is finalized, we'll track the designs of each newly added emoji here. Emoji that have been approved so far for 16.0 are listed below, taken from Unicode's Emoji Recently Added (16.0) list.

tried making splatter emoji (1FADF)
update 1 (4/6/2024): fixed the pixels not correctly (40x??)
update 2 (4/6/2024, again) revamped the old with new ones
update 3 last (4/6/2024 AGAIN AGAIN) revamped reasons the splatter emoji is not in the position with the droplets i used for the svg.

The eyes aren't as low as seen in https://www.unicode.org/L2/L2023/23236-esc-report-q4-2023.pdf, which is what I accomplished. I was planning to use the frowning mouth asset from U+1F641 but it didn't look good, which is what you seem to be using in your revision of U+1FAE9 although the mouth is a bit modified from the original.

There's several errors in this image:

• The file should be 36×36 pixels and not 36×~24.5
• You used 2 different shades of purple
• There's a duplicate of every shape on the canvas
• The smaller drops, which shouldn't exist, are transparent
• The entire splat should be one shape, and not multiple drops

Just an FYI, you don't have to wait until September 10th to release Twemoji 16.0. Google released Noto Color Emoji 15.1 five days before Unicode 15.1 released.

Historically we've aimed to beat all other major vendors' release cadences, but that was when we maintained Twemoji while employed by Twitter. Now the release cadence is very much "ideally before Unicode releases", but we have no strict target date for v16 right now.

If someone wants to create the flag for Sark (code CQ, new in Emoji 16,0ß), notice that there are two possible designs, wether the two lion cover the Saint George cross or not.

The one with the bigger lions is from 1938 and was designed for the island’s seigneur before becoming the defacto symbol of the island. In 2020 the flag was officialized but the College of Arms petition featured a design with the lions kept in the canton.

Wikipedia puts the new design as the official flag, but it seems that the locals prefer the original design (from what I’ve read), as does the British Flag Institute: https://www.flaginstitute.org/wp/flags/sark-flag/
