Obsidian Simple Image Inserter

This Obsidian plugin allows you to insert images without needing an external File Explorer GUI. The images are selected through a built-in file explorer, automatically embedded into your notes, and copied to your Obsidian vault.

This plugin was inspired by Better File Link.

Installation

To install the plugin:

  1. Search for "Simple Image Inserter" in Obsidian's community plugins browser
  2. Enable the plugin in your Obsidian settings (find "Simple Image Inserter" under "Community plugins")

Using the Plugin

To use the plugin:

  1. Open the command palette
  2. Search for the command "Insert image(s)"
  3. Select the images you want to insert
  4. Press "Open" in the bottom right corner of the file explorer to insert your selected images
