Welcome to the ASxcel wiki!

This Wiki tries to explain how to use ASxcel, and provide you with some tips and tricks.

What is ASxcel?

ASxcel is a tool for AirlineSim, a browser game by simulogics GbR. In this simulation players create airlines, and manage them in an open environment against hundreds of competitors. This tool is designed to help users manage the routes their airlines provide, and aid in future expansions. It basically is a substitution for Excel (for those who use tables) with a special focus on the nature of the simulation. Its strength is that it's easy and instantly to use and that it requires no deeper knowledge of Excel.

What does ASxcel do?

ASxcel lists routes. Nothing more, nothing less. The user first creates an enterprise, then airports, and finally routes between two airports. Routes can be supplemented with information like IATA codes, the passenger and cargo size of the airports, the distance and if a route is scheduled or not (which is useful for future expansion). ASxcel aims to help players new to AirlineSim with their start by providing a way they can collect and view information about their location in a clean and simple way.

What doesn't ASxcel do?

ASxcel does not provide information by itself! The player still has to collect all information himself, and the application will not help him with it. It only displays and stores the information the user enters. To be absolutely clear: ASxcel doesn't automate things, it is just a replacement for a table calculation for all those people who struggle with Excel. People like me. ;)
