This repo contains the source for creating an Add-In in Outlook that will utilize the compose action to open up a pane to be able to search documentation within docs.microsoft.com
This is a great starting point for a project that wants to access a 3rd party api or work with the compose pane
Clone repo Make sure you have an Office 365 Account. Update the BingSearchController with your API keys to access Bing Web Search Run it!
F5 will run the app and load the manifest file within your local Office 365 account. Find and email and reply to it. There will be a magnifying glass icon which you can click on to open search pane. By default, it looks at the subject to perform the search. You can click the menu bar to reveal a search box where you can enter your search terms as well.
Next steps is to click on the item and have the title, description and link embedded in the email
